So, why should you listen to me? Well, I’ve been a new build property consultant in the UK for almost 15 years. Before starting my career in new build property sales I worked for almost a decade as a financial and commercial analyst. Previous to that I worked for 9 years in the City of London in international banking and foreign exchange, following an earlier decade as a programmer / systems analyst in Vancouver and London. So, money and data have been at the core of my corporate career life. I’ve now turned my writing, property and finance skills to creating this website for you, April 2023.
During my years selling new build properties, it astounded me how many people came looking for a new home with little or no understanding of the process and what is involved. Of course, I was always happy to help and gave them a run-down of the steps and processes and requirements. I then decided to write a guide book, The New Build Buyers Guide (available on Amazon etc), and to create this website in conjunction with that. So here we are.
This website will have many extracts from the book, but will also feature blogs/articles that I write on the UK economy and the things that are impacting on the new homes sector. You will find some useful tips to help you save money for your deposit, and tips that could save you thousands of pounds in the buying of your home.
As well as my lifelong interest in property sales, I also have a general interest in money and valuable metal commodities. What is money ? Why do we use it ? What is the history of money, and how has it impacted nations and empires? So, there will be some articles, over time, here on that also.
